Weakness: he rarely plays mafia,he needs to be sure of a serious game.

When Arthur started playing mafia,no one could he say he will get in the picture within next ten or twelve rounds,but he was there in it's first and he played fantastic.

He has a very special gift, his hands and voice doesn't shake.And that for mafia player is all to win. The experienced poker master knows well how to bluff. He can be a Don and look at the sheriff in the eye and convince him that he is a sheriff.

His best and only trick is his self confident.he doesn't like to plan a complicated game.he doesn't like a suicide, he just kills at nights and vote at days. He is not a fan of Agata Christie so he just kills by the decisions made and doesn't make mistakes.He never argues,he doesn't care how bad he is insulted and responds in silence.But when it comes to voting he respond to the insult so calm and so effective.He rarely changes his mind after voting,but when a citizen,he listens to each word of the defendant so serious and if convinced,he changes his vote.

He has a tendency not to ask others to merit a change.He explains the mistake they have made but never asks and begs for changes.

Playing with Arthur is a privilege,not because of his skills but because of the respect he pays to the game by playing serious. After all he is a pro poker winner and he knows he need to respect the table.

In one of the most memorable games,that I as a narrator had the privilege to witness, he choose his victims at the beginning and killed each and every one of them without hesitation,everything was going on alright for him until the sheriff recognized him and announced it.Arthur the last to talk on that round didn't deny the accusation, he looked at sheriff in the eye and said that he did not kill anyone.He didn't disguise as Sheriff nor deny anything. His tone without trembling comparing the panic of the real sheriff and his solid voice and sentences made the only remaining citizen to vote against the poor sheriff and Arthur won the game,thanks to his firm statement.

Based upon his character, Arthur is a wonderful mafia player that as a citizen can't really use his abilities,but when black he knows exactly how to kill and deny.He is for sure one of the ten best.

History: Learned at 2004,and become a master soon after.
character:Politician mafia
special skills: analyse every single minute of the game in his mind.Knows exactly when to make a turn, knows how to vote in tight situations.
Weakness: When irritated, he rather eliminate the one he dislikes instead of finding the real mafia.





Karo is a very talented businessman, as a mafia player he uses the same techniques and the same ideas as he uses in his office.He has a gift of remembering everything spoken during a game,and sometimes on the last round of a game he remind the others of a mistake someone has let on the first round` 45 minutes earlier. He is a complete pessimist. You need to show him your card or he will examine you hard not to vote on you. He accidentally happened to be more a citizen during games we played,but whenever black, he displays a real cold blood killer character,for which he seems to be maid. I hardly ever notice a tremble in his voice whenever he disguise as a sherif. He lies just as easy as he drinks his tea. And he looks straight in your eyes, He doesn't think when he lies,the outcome is not important,all he do is to deceive you in a way that you don't even regret believing him until the game is over.
He trust no one except the narrator,and sometimes he asks narrator even, if he is sure of what he just said!! He is a analyser,he is the one guy you should be afraid of when trying to make a statement as a sheriff. If you say things that doesn't make sense,he won't doubt voting you out.
He controls his gesture very well. After viewing the card, he leans to his table,take a short breath and stares to the person in front of him.He takes the game seriously and doesn't make fun of situations that for many might bring a long lough.
He is the master of bluff , and you never know if he bluffing or not. He often likes to complicate the game, he likes to win the hard games. He is a fond of humiliating others, and on his turn he always accuse the rest for acting stupid or irresponsible. Usually this method works and people start showing activities which reveals their true nature.
Looking through those cold eyes , he shows no mercy upon his victims.He kills and votes very logical.He never choose a victim by chance. And estimates tens of options be for eliminating an opponent.
He has proven himself both as a mafia master and a worthy sheriff for many times,and during the games has always exhibited some worthy performances.He is for sure one of the players in the top ten.

A girl with a devilish smile...

History: When I learned mafia she was already a master

special skills: Knows how to impress the citizens,she knows how to neutralize to worse statements against her knows how to convince you even when you are sure one hundred percent that she's the mafia.
Weakness: She loose control and neglects the game as soon as she notice a stupid statement by a newcomer.
Sometimes she feels so above the rest that she simply
underestimate the opponent and loose the game.



Mineh is a rare talent of Mafia. It looks as though she knows every single trick of the game and she doesn't rush in to do all the tricks in one round. When accused, she mark her fingers on her head and smiles devilish.
She has a very logic ways of discussing the facts.She never fantasize a game,she stick to what is obvious and let the others do the talking then she take advantage of their mistakes.
She has a very teasing habit though.When it's someone else's turn to talk,she pretend to look at the guy very seriously and suddenly she starts nodding her head like "Well talk as long as you want,I'm gonna vote you out anyways...".She is a master of rare games, she has the ability to change the whole ending to her own favor.And for doing so she just mention some mind blowing mistakes of the others and even the narrator that stuns everyone.
Mineh is a very creative narrator too.She knows when to interrupt and when to let someone talk additionally.
she uses her power as a game master to turn the game into a interesting one and with her funny notes and gestures she makes an interesting game.
As a sheriff she sometimes delay her presence and mafia if smart takes advantage of that.She usually knows who to check and often succeeds in checking the right one soon.
Her best talent is to agitate and annoy the opponent specially if she knows him well.She makes statements that are untrue and sometimes insulting and on many occasions personal, in order to make the guy loose control and get mad.At these moments she starts to smile irritatingly and mark her fingers as devil.
Mineh is for sure in the list of ten top mafia players in my circle.

A killer with a sence of humor

special skills: He is very cold blood,he kills and lies and you never believe he might be a killer.

also he manages to put some humor while talking that distracts you from real facts and helps him look more Innocent.

Weakness: he gets weird sometimes and turns to ruin the whole game. also has a tendency to play snake on nokia mobiles during some games.

Vaheh Bobokh was a fast learner, he learned the game in a matter of two or three rounds.

He use to take a game either seriously or doesn't take part in it at all. He become a fanatic fan of mafia and he played it over and over.He was one of those rare players who never put a single invitation of mafia down. He plays each game with an unaccustomed strategy. He is an innovative

player with a witty touch of humor that makes playing with him more enjoyable.

He uses techniques that are completely ingenious. He analyse each move of the players and is good to blame the narrator for little mistakes. His partnership with his long time buddy Galo as two

mafias makes one of the most frighting couples of blacks.It looks as if they read each others mind and know when to change the whole plan.

Vaheh has played a lot of memorable games and has became a legend among those who share a table with him.One of the most brilliant games of him was the one held at our home back in Tehran Argentina sq. a couple of years ago.It was a late night game and about four in the morning we started the new round. He needed to be on due at six since he was a soldier then. He appeared so tired that wouldn't participate at all,he would vote random,and pretended to be sleep most of the time.We were not doubting at him at all.He seemed to be co-operating with us not ruining the game.When he killed the last citizen with his head still fixed sleep on the table he did not move,he did not celebrate, he just cold bloodly raised his hand with a ace of spades in it and remained still.

Vaheh is a remarkable narrator too.He is a harsh one though,and happened to reveal the personality of players by turning their cards after only one notice.

During the games I had to chance to participate I always enjoyed playing with him. He never take a game for granted.And has always confronts his opponents seriously.

As a citizen he lacks the mutual trust thing and it takes a lot of energy and time to convince him of being a citizen too. It happened quite regular that the citizens lost a game due to his stubbornness in recognizing a vivid citizen.

All in all if I had a chance to handpick ten players to perform a professional mafia game. Vaheh would undoubtedly be among them.

The night has come,everyone's sleep...

"The nigth has come, everyone is sleep". These are the first two sentences the game master starts the game with.And from the moment you close your eyes,till the moment you wake up in the morning you just think...Is it my turn tonight?

The night is the magic of this game,though seems that the day is the time where all the speaking is taking place,but in reality night is the base of the game.All those narrowed movements and arming's happen in silence of the night.And if you know how to take advantage of the night,you can surly win a game.

The most important thing is the accuracy at choosing the victims if you are black.Many times the game master misunderstands the victim,since you aim not so clear at night and in the morning you are very surprised at the result of your last nights shot.So it's very important to make sure the victim is perfectly clear for game master. But again the out come of a mistake by the game master should have the less effect on your face or the most reverse effect,as if missing a round makes you happy since you are a red.

Mafia - The Game

Mafia is a round table game. It is a very unique game that include psychological issues and meanwhile needs speaking & lying abilities.
I presume that all those to read this article are aware of the rules of the game,though some rules vary in different circles.But all in all most of people do have some basic knowledge of playing this game.I participate in most of the mafia games that I had the chance to attend,and gain some improvements,but still I'd like to dedicate the blog to a very dear friend of mine who first insist on playing this game and teaching me the rules,while I was arguing over watching a movie instead. Meroojan Minasian a guy with a true talent of playing mafia thought us all on a circled table at our place,the rules of engagement of the game and we've been the mafia maniacs ever since.
During last four years I played mafia with whole bunch of various people,with different methods,different styles,different accents,different IQ's and on different tables. But beside some memorable moments that I might try to describe later on,I would like to specify that the game mafia is a true experience of life it self with friends and enemies within that is only revealed when he game is over.Likewise the life, you can never be sure of who to trust and who to deceive.And quite as well the same goes for everybody else in the game.And the best part is you can never choose who you'll become,you can become the Mafia in blacks just as easy as you can appear in red as a citizen.But whatever you are you can't change it and have to obey the rules and of course the faith.
